Blog 4: A subject you enjoyed studying this semester

Imagen
Hello friends :) My favorite subject this semester was Social History of Chile.  It's a subject where no visual support material is used, but the information given by the teacher is so interesting that it does not matter. We start by talking about the last class to continue with the central idea, then he introduces us to important dates, people or places. Everything that is mentioned refers to the development of citizens, communities or groups. The teacher always recommends readings or movies to complement what we are studying in class. He is very organized in teaching the topics and explains the subject in a simple way.  The most interesting topics for me are how the working class was transformed in Chile, how the exterior affected the future of country. I liked very much to talk about how the culture of the Mapuche people and the Spanish were mixed, originating the mestizos (Chileans).  I like very much to learn about my country and my people...

Blog 3: My favorite piece of technology

Hi everyone, Today I will talk about my iPad, it is my favorite technology. This i get it in my birthday number 20, it was my dad present's. I was very happy this day.  It is an important object for my studies, since I use it for classes online, to read and study with the material that they upload to u-cursos. I also watch netflix series, youtube videos and listen to music in my free times. I use it every day at all times, even on weekends only for watch funny things. You don’t have to turn it on and wait like with the computer, and I can do more than with my little cell. I love it because I can carry it everywhere and it’s easy to use. If I didn’t have it in my hands, my life would be more complicated, as my computer isn't a great company, it is slow and old. And obviusly more bored!!  Aaah! and my boyfriend in my birthday 21 give me an Apple Pencil <3 I was cry like a crazy hahaha

Blog 2: Why did you choose this career?

When I was a kid I wanted to be a lot of things. Very young, I always dreamed of being a singer, dancer or actress, because I watched a lot of Disney. Then I spent a moment wanting to be a pediatrician or a veterinarian. Already when I was in adolescence my dream was a profession that helped people. At the beginning of the university application process, he had in mind a career in the social sciences, such as psychology or social work, and on the other hand, law. I decided for Social Work because when researching it I was the one that most caught my attention, with its work with children, youth, adults and the elderly.  My experience has been quite strange. As I go in first year, everything has been online (mood covid haha). I know very few colleagues, I talk to them only about university subjects. It has been a different year and with many tasks, many times I don’t feel so motivated. I would love to have a job that makes a real impact on people’s liv...
